Greetings to those bold (or bored) enough to read this meandering entry, being duly composed by one Sam Johnson, erstwhile nursing student at Southern Utah University. With my pending date of expected graduation set to occur in December of 2024 one would presume my excitement would be high to go out into the working world to impose my mark. BUT having already been out there for many years before seeking a second career in nursing, it has been my experience that it is the world that leaves its mark on you! As such, it seemed a worthwhile ambition to seek additional ties to the student process to delay a full-contact rematch with the inevitable resumption of a vocation. Which led me to seeking a position on a board (that and the extra entry onto the favorable wheel of fortune, which paid out HUGE for me, so totally worth it!) and all the joys, experiences, titles, and prestige that accompanies such. Anything further accusations relevant to any such allegations will be vigorously denied until such time as sufficient evidence has been produced. Looking forward to working with this crew over the next year.

Hi! My name is Korina Ziegler and I graduate from SUU's nursing program in December 2025. I plan to work in labor and delivery and mother baby. My free time is spent trying new recipes and expanding my cooking skills. I also enjoy doing anything outdoors, but my most recent adventure has been learning how to ski with my husband. I am excited to be this year's convention director because I want to bring nursing students together in an environment where they can be excited for their future careers and learn how to make a difference in their patient's lives.

Greetings! I'm Johana, currently pursuing my BSN at the University of Utah College of Nursing expected to graduate in the Summer of 2025.
In my previous role as a medical assistant, I have gained an interest in dermatology, aesthetics, and surgery. After graduation I would love to work as an OR nurse to gain more surgery experience and eventually specialize in dermatology as an NP. However, I'm remaining open to other specialties as well.
I really enjoy going out on runs, hikes, and snowboarding.
I'm thrilled to be a part of the USNA board where I am given the opportunity to connect with other nursing students and leaders while creating an empowered community of future nurses.

Hello! My name is Benjamin Boardman. I am currently working on my ASN at Weber State University. I am expecting to graduate August 2024 but will continue on to my bachelors and expected to graduate May 2025. I am looking to work in an ICU and move on to CRNA as soon as I can. I love to sing and everything artistic. I am hoping to gain leadership skills, network with other nursing student and faculty in the area and of course, bolster my resume □

Hello! My name is Richard (Ricky) Jimenez, and I'm currently advancing my education at Utah Tech University, where I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I'm eagerly anticipating my graduation in the spring of 2026. As a dedicated father and husband, my journey in the field of nursing is not just a career choice but a passion that I balance with my family life. My ultimate goal is to further specialize by attending a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in Acute Care Pediatrics. This ambition stems from a deep desire to make a significant impact in the lives of children facing acute health challenges.
Beyond my academic and career aspirations, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to serve in a leadership role. I see this as a chance to recruit more attendees to our conferences, fostering a vibrant, learning-rich environment for all involved. Moreover, I am looking forward to building lasting friendships and expanding my professional network. These connections will not only enrich my personal and professional life but also support my aspirations of becoming a leader in pediatric acute care.
