Meet the Board

We are so excited to introduce you to our new USNA Board for the year of 2024-2025! Each and every member brings a unique and essential mindset to our team. The board works tirelessly year round to plan and produce a statewide convention for all student nurses to attend and ensure the well-being of the association.

My name is Shalee Evans, I'm currently attending Southern Utah University, I graduate December 2025! I want to either be an ICU nurse or NICU nurse. Outside of school, I love doing anything outdoors like camping, hiking, and biking with my family. I am married and we have 2 little girls that are our world. I am so excited to serve on the USNA board because I believe that nurses and nursing students deserve so much support and I want to be able to help them!

My name is Lilly, and I'm going to BYU! I'm from Anchorage Alaska, so I love anything outdoors, like skiing, running, and especially hiking! I also love music and grew up playing the piano, the flute, and singing. Nursing school has been such a rewarding experience, and I'm still deciding what direction I want to go with nursing. But I love womens health, and the good thing is there are so many options!

Hi! I’m originally from Northern Virginia and attend BYU. I also currently serve as the secretary for the BYU College of Nursing Undergraduate Dean’s Student Council. I love getting to know students, discussing issues, and finding solutions! I’m pretty open to all kinds of nursing, but am currently leaning towards the ICU.

Hi! I'm Brooke, I'm from Arizona and currently at Southern Utah University. I love anything and everything outdoors and I'm kind of an adrenaline junky. I've been skydiving twice! I've loved it here at SUU so far and the nursing program has been so fun! I'm currently the treasurer for our schools Student Nurse Association and I'm excited to continue as treasurer for the state. I'm excited to pursue nursing and will likely pursue a position in critical care.

Hi! My name is Korina Ziegler and I graduate from SUU's nursing program in December 2025. I plan to work in labor and delivery and mother baby. My free time is spent trying new recipes and expanding my cooking skills. I also enjoy doing anything outdoors, but my most recent adventure has been learning how to ski with my husband. I am excited to be this year's convention director because I want to bring nursing students together in an environment where they can be excited for their future careers and learn how to make a difference in their patient's lives.

I am about halfway through the BYU nursing program. I hope to continue my nursing education after I graduate and become a Family Nurse Practitioner! I got married to my sweet husband Zach in August of 2024 and he is my biggest supporter.

My name is Anagha Rao and I am a junior prelicensure BSN student at the University of Utah College of Nursing. After graduating, I hope to work as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse and in the future go back to school to become a family nurse practitioner (FNP). One of the things I love about the Utah SNA is the opportunity to gain leadership skills and meet other student nurses from other colleges and universities. Outside of school, I love to hike, read romance novels, and trying new restaurants and cafes in Utah.

I am a student at Arizona College of Nursing in Murray where I am the SNA vice president. I am a mom and while I was pregnant a nurse saved mine and my sons lives and made me feel seen. That is my hope for my nursing career to truly make my patients feel seen! I love Disney, spending my time swimming with my family, and trying new things!

I am a first year nursing student at BYU, and I getting a minor in healthcare leadership! I aim to attend grad school for healthcare administration in the near future and look forward to stepping up as a leader and role model in this position. A time when I was a leader was becoming the founder and president of the Pediatric Care Club in my high-school, guiding many young healthcare enthusiasts towards a field that is in need of innovative and open minded leaders. I am eager to continue being a leader in my adulthood, and know my time serving on the USNA board will help cultivate an environment that is intellectually enlarging and for the benefit of nursing students across the state of Utah! I look forward to applying my skills as a healthcare leader to help make decisions that will provide Utah nursing students with opportunities to grow, network, and lead!

Hi, I’m Sierra! Im happy to be a T- Bird at SUU and am set to graduate spring 2026! In previous years I’ve been part of SUUs Student Involvement and Leadership, specifically in student programming to plan campus events. I had so much fun putting the events into action and seeing the positive impact it had. When I graduate I want to work in the Emergency Department before getting my NP. A little about me is that I have a twin brother, I love Rick climbing and my main hobby is photography. I love to take photos of bees and ironically I am very allergic to them. (But if I don’t bug them, they won’t bug me, right?)
