 and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After nursing school, I hope to work in the Pediatric ICU at Primary Children’s. I am so excited to serve on the USNA Board because I hope to connect nursing students with all of the amazing resources and opportunities available to them as a nursing student.

I have parents, a twin brother, and three younger siblings. I enjoy exercising, playing board/card games and watching shows.

Hey guys! My name is Brooke Bolinder Nelson and I am from Stansbury Park, Utah. I currently attend Snow College and am set to graduate Spring 2026 with my ASN! I hope to continue my BSN at SUU in the fall. I love my old granny hobbies - knitting, reading and baking. I enjoy spending time outside via hiking and taking my dog on walks. I also love spending time with my husband, playing any kind of games, and doing arts and crafts. I am excited to be on the board and I am eager to be the point of communication between the board and you!

While I plan to work in the ICU after obtaining my BSN, I hope to continue my education and eventually become a CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist). I love to learn, spend time with my family, and enjoy God’s creations in the beautiful land that surrounds me here in Southern Utah.

Hi! My name is John, and I am from Lindon, Utah. I am currently a nursing student at Utah State University where I was drawn to the strong sense of community and close-knit environment that reflects my hometown. Outside of nursing I stay involved by participating in community orchestras, volunteering at the hospital and local animal shelter, and swimming for the USU club team. I am honored to serve as the Region 1 Director and look forward to uniting and representing members with dedication and enthusiasm.

My name is Brinly Torgerson. I am from Nephi, Utah and I still live there. I am attending the Snow College nursing program. I am in my first semester. I am married and I have a one year old boy. We love to go camping, go on horse rides, and we love to fish. I also love to go swing dancing.

My name is Kyli Robison, I'm currently attending the RN program at Snow College, I will graduate December 2027! I want to be an ED and/or a LifeFlight nurse. When I’m not in school, I love doing anything outdoors like camping, hiking, fishing, and of course boating at Lake Powell! I am so excited to serve on the USNA board because I know that nursing students need a lot of support and I want to be an advocate for them! I love nursing and I look forward to seeing how we can help encourage and support each other!

I have a doctorate in Family Nurse Practitioner and a masters in Nursing Education. I teach at Utah Valley University in the undergrad program. Before teaching I was a float nurse for 10 years.

Julie has been a part of Utah Tech University for eight years. Her nursing career spans more than 40 years and across the lifespan from labor and delivery to NICU to Alzheimers care. Julie is excited to be part of the UTSNA board and support nurses across the state. Julie completed her associate degree at Weber State, bachelors at the University of the State of New York, masters at St Joseph’s College of Maine and her PhD at Northcentral University. She is a mom of mine and grandmother of ten. In her spare time she enjoys playing the piano, singing and crocheting.

Hello! My name is Kasey Grubb, and I am excited to be on the USNA Board! I love working with students watching them positively impact the nursing profession and healthcare system. I have been a nurse since 2013, and I am proud to be a Weber State Nursing Faculty member. Nursing truly embodies my personality, and I love the opportunities it has provided me. I have had the privilege of working as a nurse on the following units in acute care facilities: Surgical/Medical, orthopedics, BMT unit, GI Lab, PACU, Informatics Nursing, Postpartum, and currently work in Cath Lab Recovery. I currently sit on the Sigma Theta Tau International Nu Nu Chapter and enjoy collaborating with other nurses to benefit the local community through nursing service.
