Highlights from our students throughout utahThe Utah State Board of Directors attended the National Nurses Association convention held in Nashville Tennessee. They spent time in delegate meetings to represent the students of Utah and breakout sessions to improve themselves and the state. At Provo College our NSNA chapter has grown and we have had a great time. Our numbers have grown from 10 members in 2016 to over 40 members in 2018. Members are encouraged to be role models for their fellow students. They are encouraged to help each other succeed in the program and life. We have also done many service projects including volunteering at the head start, helping at the food bank, and Doing a food drive. Our most notable project has been tying blankets for the pediatric unit at Utah Valley Hospital. In 2016 we were able to tie and deliver over 125 blankets and in 2017 150 blankets. The Student Nurses Association from Southern Utah University won a $500.00 award for creativity and participation by making a float for a school event themed "Once Upon a Homecoming". |
